Producer Organization
As a post watershed programme after looking need of farmers in the project area, DJP formed ‘Dilasa Baliraja Krishi Utpadak Producer Company Limited in 2012. We are mainly interested in small and marginal farmers whose economic status is poor/weak and who are having irrigation source mainly dug well / bore well or any ground water availability source. The main objective is to provide quality agriculture inputs, processing and marketing of the products in the vicinity of company.
Dilasa Baliraja FPO is pioneering organization in spreading the micro irrigation system at every nook and corner of this area. Drip irrigation is today’s need to ensure that the plants do not suffers from less and over watering. Dilasa Baliraja FPO devised techno-financial model to help the farmers in micro irrigation and installed drip system on 2000 ha. of land in short span of time. The organization is working basically on two financial models.
Farmer Common Service Centers (FCSC) for Marathwada
The Government of Maharashtra through Government of India has credit from the International Development Association (IDA credit no. 4809 IN) for implementation of Maharashtra Agricultural Competitiveness Project (MACP). Divi-socio Techno Consultants (DSTC) is working as service provider (SP) for Linking Producer Group to Forward Market Linkage and Formation of Producer Association and Establishment of Farmer Common Service Centers (FCSC) Package No.2 (Latur, Osmanabad, Beed and Nanded) under Maharashtra Agricultural Competitiveness Project (MACP). The Project Development Objective of the MACP is to increase the productivity, profitability and market access of the farming community in Maharashtra. This would be achieved by providing farmers with technical knowledge, market intelligence and market networks to support diversification and intensification of agriculture production aimed at responding to market demand. Farmers will also be assisted in establishing farmer organizations, developing alternative market channels outside of the regulated markets and in supporting the modernization of promising traditional wholesale markets. The project has three components viz., (i) Intensification and diversification of market led production; (ii) Improving farmer access to markets by promoting alternative markets and modernizing existing APMCs, and (iii) project coordination and management.
Farmer Common Service Centers (FCSC) for Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur districts

POPI - NABARD
The National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) is an apex bank in India that works in the field of agriculture and rural development. Agricultural and informal sector with growth of fat and thereby improve their quality of life by farmers increasingly loan availability this is the major objective of the Bank. NABARD funded for those activities. This project is undertaken by NABARD to encourage farmers producing organizations (FPO) and foster them. The basic funding is under development and the betterment of the producers of this project. This is the key goal of this project is to provide farmers with good agricultural prices and more income opportunities of small and marginal farmers. This can be achieved because of the economy and the needs of agriculture produce to the market to get together in large numbers. Dilasa organization is appointed as project NABARD POPI. FPO will assist relief organizations in conservation is three years.
Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) Project for Promoting FPOs
Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), a Society promoted by the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, has been mandated to act as a nodal agency to promote FPOs during the XII Plan. SFAC is to coordinate with various State governments, civil society partners, private sector, financial institutions, resource persons and other stakeholders to help in the conduct of baseline studies, promote Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) across the country and link producer groups (both existing ones and newly formed institutions) to marketing opportunities. Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) has identified Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan (DJP) as a Resource Institution for the work of promotion of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) under Vegetable Initiative for Urban Clusters (VIUC). DJP had mobilized 5,000 farmers and 5 FPOs under this project in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state.
System of Rice Intensification (SRI)
Many severe drought problems facing through Climate change. On this backdrop, systematic policy to resist farm management. Recognizing the need to be implemented with the help of UNDP-GEF rice production growth 'SRI' (System of Rice Intensification (SRI) program is helpful to farm management.
In Deogarh, Vengurla and Malvan has been in front of the very encouraging results of the many farmers in the program implemented. So the whole rice growth Sindhudurg district 'SRI' responsibility to enforce the program was entrusted to Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan.
Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)
Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan, Aurangabad is working as implementing Partner (IP) for the project “Better Cotton Initiative” with financial support from IDH Netherlands. The project is being implemented in 3 districts covering more than 7000 cotton growing farmers with approximately 17500 hectare area. Keeping in line WWF ambition to create a better environment in Agricultural production system and achieving improvement in the ecosystem through sustainable use of soil, water and external resources by project farmers .We have also introduced Decent work in the programme there by improving health and livelihood of communities through production of ‘better cotton’.
The project is implemented in 20 villages of Aurangabad district preferably
coming under Godavari basin or basins of local rivers. The first cluster is
located in Aurangabad block comprises 14 villages i.e. Shamwadi, Bakapur,
Rampur, Peerwadi, Gangapur Shendra, Mahalpimpri, Kaccheghati, Hirapur,
Konewad, Shekata, Selud, Murumkheda, Karmad and Ladsawangi and the
second cluster of Gangapur block comprises of 6 villages i.e. Kobapur,
Bhoigaon, Bolegaon, Babargaon, Dahegaon and Agarwadgaon. Dilasa is
working in water sector and availed potable water source in every village.
However, there is a need to sensitize them about the health and safety.
There is a strong need to minimize the harmful impact of crop protection
practices. People are not well versed of using the mask while applying the
pesticides. In the present situation pesticides are applied without any
appropriate care. Dilasa is organize the campaign for using the appropriate
protective and safety equipments. Basically, the decent practices regarding
the pesticides, its application and different nitti-critis are not up to the
mark.
